Lynwood Modern Ranch Home
I was invited to shoot this mid-century modern ranch home designed by architect Frenchie Gratts in Denver’s Lynwood neighborhood in the greater Virginia Village area - one of two that I got to shoot at the same time. This home is all about indoor-outdoor living with walls of glass, a private courtyard surrounding the home, vaulted ceilings, and deeeeeep overhangs around the home. It is a tract home, but built by H. B. Wolff, a builder who really believed in getting modernism right in the 1950s. Like many of my higher-end shoots, it took multiple trips to this home to get all of the angles and scenes I wanted, working with the natural light.
Despite all of the work to shoot it, this home sold off-market for $1.05M. For a couple of my clients that are deep in a particular niche of real estate, like mid-century modern homes, photographs of their listing are still valuable to them, even if the home never goes on the market, for use in marketing and advertising. This agent and others I work with have a huge library of my work that I have shot for them to use, and this home has appeared in multiple magazine ads, locally and nationally.
